First Sunday every month from 1.30pm we meet at the woods entrance nearest Marx and Lenin Terrace

Explore is an intentionally relaxed, informal and creative space set aside each month for us to engage with a particular topic e.g. baptism, forgiveness, the Holy Spirit, the Body of Christ. We gather at the woods entrance and carry in all we need to build church that day. When we finish we take everything back out, returning the site to the creatures that live in it.

We do this through discussion and group learning, story-telling and art.

The format varies month to month but there's always music, prayers and food... always food!

No experience necessary, just curiosity. Bring your big ideas and big questions, pick a hammock or sit on a log and explore with us.

Third Sunday every month 1.30pm we meet at the woods entrance nearest Marx and Lenin Terrace.

This is our biggest church gathering centred around food, worship and community. It follows the familiar pattern seen in many churches (prayers, songs, readings from the Bible, etc.) but we're outside, everything is interactive, and very relaxed.

We're currently meeting in Chopwell Woods near the pump track carpark entrance. See our Facebook page for a map and extra info, and do get in touch if it's your first time so we can come meet you at your car and walk you in. It's no fun feeling lost when you're new! Check the FAQs for more info.

Fridays at 9.30am meet at South Play Park

We gather on the hill overlooking South Road and walk into Chopwell Woods to experience God in nature. We pray for our community and each other. After prayers we head to The Bank for refreshments and chat, then for those who still want to hang out we do something outdoorsy.

Wednesdays at 9pm we gather online at our MCC Facebook page (here) for a live prayer service, as one of our Community leads us in quiet, peaceful and reflective prayers, following the Anglican tradition of Compline. A calming and beautiful way to end the day in God's presence. 

Thursday nights, fortnightly.

A group of us gathers locally to eat, chat, share the ups and downs of life, pray and learn about the Bible together. Very informal. A great way of deepening relationships (with each other and God ) and a bit of a social highlight for many of us! If you'd like to come along, get in touch.

Fortnightly on Friday evenings. Our youth meet to eat, discuss life and faith with the help of some aspects of the Youth Alpha sessions, supervised by our adult leaders.  Sometimes this is outdoors, sometimes in homes. We recently went ice skating. The most important aspect of Youth Group is building trust and acceptance within and among our young people so they feel able to express themselves and discuss what's important to them in this safe space.
